Are you ready for Brexit?
November 12, 2020
Brexit is just around the corner! Only 50 days left!
Take control of your logistics.

Brexit impact on the well-being of the UK population is uncertain. The consequences of Great Britain leaving the EU are highly unpredictable for a wide audience. Much will depend on the detailed arrangements that will define the UK's future relationship with the EU.
While the Withdrawal Agreement has been approved by both the UK Parliament and the European Parliament, the possible 'no-deal' outcome is still possible if both sides do not conclude a new trade agreement by 31 December 2020.
From the 1 January 2021 the approach to goods transported between Great Britain and the EU will change. It will be replaced by export and import. While a zero grade for exports exists if the right conditions are met, most importantly, the import is subject to VAT and possibly customs duties. This will inevitably increase prices, especially because the ability of importers to buy goods has declined due to currency devaluation.
Every company that trades goods between the UK and the EU should review its supply chains and contingency plan for all scenarios in the new year. More stringent customs requirements are also likely to be imposed, as well as strict controls on land transport. Stricter requirements for customs and probable delays in land transport will inevitably increase costs for European logistics companies due to reduced efficiency.
The clock is ticking so take control now!
